A NEW YEAR!!! and 2022 AHEAD

LET'S HOPE THAT IT IS MORE SETTLED

THAN LAST YEAR.

A New Year is a time when we traditionally look back at where we have come from and make resolutions (or set goals) for what we want to achieve in the coming year (or decade). Each of the group homepages has a study planning form to be completed. These will be used in reviewing your achievements against your targets and your work focus.

HERE IS A CHART THAT SHOWS HOW THINGS SHOULD GO WITH YOUR ACQUISITION OF NEW SKILLS AND COMPETENCES DURING THE STUDY YEAR

THOSE OF YOU STUDYING MATHS WILL RECOGNISE THE STANDARD DISTRIBUTIUON ['BELL'] CURVE.  WHERE YOU ARE ON THE CURVE DEPENDS ON YOUR EFFORT AND THE METHODS YOU USE TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE SUPPORT OFFERED.

Let's think, FOR A LITTLE TIME, about that four letter word - work!

PERSONALITY QUIZ [FUN] TO HELP YOU ASSESS CAREER OPTIONS

The quiz is NOT definitive but it is intended to give a broad guide to your personality traits as they might apply in the work place - you can use this iNFORMATION IN conjunction with with PERSON SPECIFICATIONS on job adverts [NEVER USE THE SAME COVER LETTER OR CV FOR EVERY JOB APPLICATION - IT IS A ROUTE TO FAILURE].

Give it a try  . . .

G12 English Conversation Animations

Project Work - G12 - Short conversations

The brief [requirement] was for a conversation between 2 characters - spoken and thought words were recorded. In some cases the students made an audio file of their texts [scripts] and the results were edited into short videos. The standard of the work was high. This activity and the Halloween one fit with new thinking on extending the variety of assessed  formats for coursework.

Please watch them and enjoy.

Welcome to English Language @ V2V

Hello there!
This blog contains project briefs and assignments. These are designed to be more business-like than materials aimed at a younger audience. During the course you will be expected to do most of your written work at home and to submit this in either DOC MP4 MP3 or JPG format.

The emphasis will be on listening , reading and speaking. In particular reading your own work, this will help your language skills considerably.
