No. If you are writing an informal email or note or postcard to a relative or friend then yes. Writing a Cover Letter / Brochure / News Article / Essay / Review / Report or some other technical text then no. Anyway - not without a plan or some form of preparation.

Once you have finished writing your writing - who do you want to PROOF CHECK IT? You, or the person who asked you to do the task? [Manager / Supervisor / Teacher / Examiner] Teacher maybe? The others - definitely NOT. A bad exam mark affects your life! Ten minutes taken to do some preparations and organising can make the difference between a 5 and a 7 score or a 7 and a 9 score.
